When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and optionally your first name, last name, and date of birth. When you use the app we store the ratings, reviews, concert logs, and collection entries you create. If you upload a profile picture we store it on our servers. We do not collect any data beyond what you explicitly provide.
How we use your data
Your data is used to operate SoundCheckd, to show your profile to followers, display your checks in their feed, and provide the features of the app. SoundCheckd uses Google Ads to help fund the service. As part of this, Google may collect and use data about your activity in accordance with their own privacy policy and advertising practices. We do not directly sell your data to third parties. You can review how Google uses data at policies.google.com.
Third-party sign-in
If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a token that confirms your identity. We store your email address from that token. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.
Data storage
Your data is stored on servers hosted by DigitalOcean in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Profile pictures and media are stored in DigitalOcean Spaces. We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and all associated data, and export your data. You can delete your account directly from the app in Settings. For any other requests contact us at info@soundcheckd.app.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account all personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Children
SoundCheckd is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do we will notify users via the app. Continued use of SoundCheckd after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
