Check
Submit Check
A Check is your rating for an album. Open any album, submit a Check, and it gets added to your profile and shows up in your followers feeds. By default you submit a single overall score out of 10.
Advanced mode
Toggle Advanced mode to rate an album across five individual dimensions: Performance, Substance, Production, Versatility, and Sentiment. Each dimension is optional. SoundCheckd calculates the overall from your dimension scores.
Write a review
Every Check can include an optional written review of up to 500 characters. Add context, a hot take, or anything else you want to say about the album.
Compare
If you and a friend have both checked the same album, you can open their Check to see a side-by-side breakdown of every score. Useful for spotting exactly where your opinions diverge.
Nudge
From any album page you can send a nudge to a friend who has not checked it yet. They get a notification prompting them to submit their rating.
Activity
Follow requests
If your account is private, new followers need your approval. Incoming requests appear at the top of the Activity tab where you can accept or reject them.
Notifications
The Activity tab collects everything that happens around your account: new followers, friend checks on albums you have also rated, and nudges from friends.
Daily Pick
Once a day SoundCheckd drops a curated album recommendation into your Activity feed. A single suggestion to keep your listening from going stale.
Broadcasts
Announcements from the SoundCheckd team land here. New features, updates, and anything else worth knowing.
Profile
Your profile
Your profile shows your total Checks, Lives, and Collection count at a glance. You can add your first name, last name, date of birth, and a bio. Below that you can set your Big 3 artists and pin your favorite albums. Anyone who follows you can browse all of it.
Collection
Every Check you submit can be tagged as owned on vinyl or CD. Your Collection tab pulls all of those together into one browsable catalog of your physical music.
Filter: All / Vinyl / CD
Lives
A log of every live performance you have attended. Add concerts and shows to build a permanent record of what you have seen in person. Lives can be set to private so only approved followers can see them.

You can switch your account between public and private at any time in Settings. On a private account, only followers you have approved can see your checks and profile. Settings also links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

You can permanently delete your account directly from Settings under Delete Account. This removes all your data including checks, lives, collection entries, and followers. This action cannot be undone.
